Douwe Egberts, a Dutch coffee brand and one of the market leaders in Belgium, has always campaigned about the power of real conversations. It has been their mission for several years, implemented with different focuses each year. In 2023, Douwe Egberts, wanted to counterbalance the time we spent watching at screens as opposed to time we could be spending in actual conversations. We have so many ways of communication now, with social media, texting, mailing, … we sometimes lose the communication that truly is the most important one. Real life interaction. Because it shows the body language, it shows the intonation, the intention. Douwe Egberts has always been a frontrunner in being a spark for real conversation around a good cup of coffee. Their goal and objective was once again, to remind consumers of their mission. Talk with each other. 

Douwe Egberts wanted to create a creative stunt around that topic, that could kickstart their commercial campaign. Seeing the longstanding relationship between Douwe Egberts and DPG Media, we got talking.
