Goals and objectives

The primary goal of our ”CHANGE starts in your kitchen” campaign was to raise awareness about the significant issue of food waste in Croatia, emphasizing its environmental impact and the social responsibility to combat it. We aimed to educate the public on various methods to reduce food waste, particularly in households, where the majority occurs. Our mission was not only to inform but to inspire tangible behavioral change while offering relatable, relevant, and evergreen food content for the audience. 

We strived to achieve a multifaceted approach, including creating engaging and practical content through our platform missGastro, collaborating with experts in ecology, zero waste influencers, and food bloggers. Additionally, we sought to promote local farmers and farm-to-table dining to reinforce the connection between sustainable food practices and reducing waste. 

Our primary goal was to address the pressing issue of food waste in Croatia, where 400,000 tons of food are wasted annually, with an average of 75 kilograms per person. Our mission was to raise awareness about the environmental and social consequences of food waste while providing practical solutions to reduce it. We aimed to engage our audience through a comprehensive campaign, combining informative content, expert discussions, and a microsite with actionable tips.
