South Africa is a country plagued by unemployment, inequality and lawlessness. 2023 was a particularly taxing year, with ongoing electricity disruptions.
Mining giant Anglo American approached to News24 to showcase its work in communities, to build a better country.
From active citizenry to wrestling with high levels of corruption and crime, broadcaster Nzinga Qunta interviewed Anglo American executives and the organisations they support, to inspire South Africans to take action through collaboration.
The goal was big, but the budget was tight. This needed to be executed for R500 000 (under €30 000). We got to work.
