Why Lantis' Cleo Magazine Was Essential in Reaching Antwerp's Families

Goals and objectives

Lantis is a public company acting as a builder in the Antwerp region. The central location of Antwerp in Europe attracts a lot of (international) traffic to the ring road around Antwerp but this ring road isn’t closed. We miss an important part: an extra crossing underneath the river Schelde. The huge amount of traffic has negative effects on the people living close to the ring road:

  • pollution
  • noise
  • and bad air quality.
Lantis’ goal is to close the ring road (making it a true ring :-) and to create better living conditions for the people by taking traffic to an underground level and creating parks on the upperlevel where we have traffic nowadays.

The construction work to close the ring is called the “Oosterweel connection” and it’s the biggest construction site ever seen in Belgium. Therefor it is important to maintain a close connection with all the people involved: stakeholders, political level, but most important: people using and living close to the ring road – we need to reach out to half a million of citizens. The objective is to inspire people with the size of the works and the fact that these works are lifechanging for the following generations. Lantis’ ambition is to create a safer, greener and healthier Antwerp region with smoother traffic.
