Goals and objectives
De Tijd (The Time) and L’Echo are Belgium’s leading business newspapers with 602.000 daily contacts, 75,6% of our subscribers own their own businesses. We reach 2 out of 3 C-level Belgian decision-makers in companies, Moreover, our readers represent 39% of Belgium’s wealth.
This means our role is not only to provide entrepreneurs and decision-makers with high-quality business and political news to help them in their policymaking. We also see it as our mission to act as a thought leader and facilitator within the Belgian business community. For example: for the last 3 years, we have been organizing, together with the prestigious Vlerick Business School, ‘Take the Lead’, a certified postgraduate degree for 200 managers on the topic of digitalizing their businesses or organizations.
So when in March 2020 Covid-19 put the country in lockdown, closing many businesses, stores and services, we thought public morale and creativity could do with a serious boost. We launched Lockdown? Standup!, a B2B content platform for businesses wanting to help other businesses, entrepreneurs or organisations by offering their expertise, knowhow or time for free.
