Goals and objectives
The main objectives of the project can be classified into 3 intertwined categories:
- making society aware of the importance of environmental protection and sustainability
- education and encouragement for activity
- inclusion of young people in the project
We encourage people to actively participate in environmental protection, to raise the level of social awareness of topics related to sustainability and ”green” policies. We encourage the economic sector to apply green policies in its operations.
The project consists of several activities that resonate with different target groups:
- environmental cleaning and afforestation activities
- conferences
- education
- the rest
The cleaning and afforestation actions are one of the more important parts of the project because they serve to massify the project, the results of the actions are concrete and immediately visible, and the benefit for the local community is immediate, which encourages the involvement of a large number of citizens.
The purpose of conferences is to raise awareness of the problems we face at the level of social institutions as well as decision-makers and legislators.
We organized competition (Little Green Contest) in parallel, in which more than 250 schools participated.
The educational part of the project includes all activities in which we provide the public with information that will help them on their way to a ”greener” life. ”Green week of Večernji list” is an activity in which every day we had campaigns and gifts in our platforms such as: School of recycling, Green cookbook, Eco-cleaning of the home, Ecopedia...
