How Norway’s Chat Studio Became a Lifeline During the Pandemic

Goals and objectives

On 12th of March, the Norwegian government shut down the country. Schools, kindergarten and universities were closed. Bars, offices, shops and gyms closed the doors, and millions of people needed to work from home indefinitely. Peoples daily life was turned up side down in few hours.
Helplines reported blasting capacity and we saw stories about fake news spreading in social media.
We immediately saw a tremendous need for credible information and a platform where ordinary people could get their questions answered from reliable sources.

The Norwegian directorate of health (Hdir) wanted to give the Norwegian people good and reliable information, as well as counselling in terms of personal interaction.

We developed a chat studio where could ask about health and general questions related to the virus.
