How Belfius and Content Republic's Smart Belgium Campaign Inspired Sustainable Societal Advancements

Today’s society faces many challenges in various fields, ranging from mobility, infrastructure and environment to an aging population, public health and care. Belfius, a leading Belgian bank, wanted to challenge all stakeholders in society to tackle these challenges jointly with smart and sustainable projects that could be to the benefit of our society as a whole. Rather than limiting the call to action to institutional stakeholders, Belfius wanted an all-inclusive approach that would challenge both public and private stakeholders in society. 

The primary request from Belfius to Content Republic was to develop a multimedia platform that would drive engagement, ultimately boosting the submission of smart projects that could contribute to societal advancements. In addition, Content Republic’s response needed to allow for the possibility to include live extensions, such as the Smart Belgium Awards ceremony.
