Christian joined Eyeo, the company behind the worldwide popular browser extension Adblock Plus, as one of the first employees. In 2012 he took on the responsibility of working as head of business development and since then has been in charge of managing Eyeo’s partnerships with ad networks, ad tech companies and large publishers.
After successfully completing his studies in economics and media management he worked in online publishing where he experimented with early forms of native advertising. He was struck by the success of these alternative forms, because they performed and monetized better than regular online ads. Christian’s experience led him to conduct further research on the effects of nonintrusive online ads.
At Eyeo his expert knowledge helps to improve the Acceptable Ads initiative, Eyeo’s effort to offer a sustainable compromise between users and advertisers.
